Jazz and Ribs

Jazz and Rib Fest is my favorite project to light because the lighting gets to me more than just functional - it becomes part of the performance. When working with jazz artists, their music is full of nuance and texture, giving me the freedom to design just as detailed lighting. I get to treat the lights like another instrument on stage, syncing with the music's mood, rhythm, and emotion. A creative collaboration pushes me to be more intentional and expressive.
